What is the best etiquette for declining offers? I know a lot of people say phone is necessary...For one of my offers, I interviewed with a random partner that I think got switched in last minute. He called me to give me the offer. Since he isn't the hiring partner, is it weird to call him to decline the offer? Feels like it really isn't his business to keep track of all that

I just emailed to decline mine

Email's fine. If there was a particular associate or partner you really clicked with, maybe reach out separately to him/her as well, but otherwise just email the general recruiting contact.
