I am deciding between Schulte and Katten. If anyone can provide info on which firm has better exit options that would be super helpful. Also, which firm would be more likely to layoff people if the economy takes a hit in the next couple of years. Any info at all is helpful!

My understanding is that Schulte is pretty fiscally conservative and very steady economically and therefore one of the less likely firms to have to lay people off if the economy takes a hit.

During OCI, Katten made a point to say they did not lay off anyone during the last recession. Transactional attorneys helped in bankruptcy.
Not sure how true.

If you want to do fund work (investment management) in particular, the exit options at Schulte are quite good and possibly better than Katten. People lateral to V25s regularly from that group and others go in-house with a fund client. Schulte is also rock solid financially with a very high PPP.

Remember many firms didn’t start a class or delayed them and never started them. They now tell students they never fired anyone.
