London SQE

Hi,
I’m American (with no top tier US JD) and I’m planning to move to London. I don’t know what is more advisable to be UK qualified for work in London biglaw?
1) Get the GDL/LPC and training contract?
2) Get the QLTS? (Being US lawyer has any advantage?)
3) Wait for the new SQE?
I understood that it’s not advisable to take the QLTS to be accepted in any MC/SC firm but I don’t know if it’s true?
Thank you for your comments.
