White & Case culture?

I've heard some mixed reviews about W&C people (passive-aggressive, barely cordial etc.). It's all second-hand info and was wondering if anyone can confirm or prove wrong?
Thanks!

Tagging. This is relevant to my upcoming decision as well.

Was absolutely not my impression, at least with respect to New York. Everyone seems very nice, and associates generally seem happy. I think things may have improved in the last few years, for what it’s worth? The firm is definitely in growth mode, and the new office helps.
One caveat is that different practice groups tend to have quite different cultures. But I don’t know of any ‘bad’ groups.
I’ve heard DC is comparatively high-strung—but no first-hand experience there.
As for ‘refuting’ this, W&C ranks pretty highly in terms of associate retention and job satisfaction. See e.g.

The firm's name serves as an elegant homage to the firm's culture. A little on the nose though.
