Back in my day trolling used to mean something.

Not OP but this seems like pretty...typical TLS?
@ OP -- I'd probably be focusing on CSM and Skadden. Potentially dispositive question here: how do you feel about the rotation system, like gut level?

If you feel good vibes from Skadden and want to do that kind of work, go to Skadden

No reason to pick skadden over Cravath, and the other 2 aren’t known for their Corp work.
Skadden has thousands of lawyers, the odds of you working with the few who gave you “good vibes” are low. Odds of getting shitty/great co workers/teams is about the same at either firm.

Just my opinion, so I'm sure others will disagree, but I'd take Cravath if nothing else just for its name. The corporate attorneys there get top notch training, and even if you can't hack it or hate it after only 2 years, you can certainly go to pretty much any other firm at that point.
There are far more Skadden-trained lawyers than there are Cravath-trained lawyers.

Maybe if OP had some more specific criteria, but considering that OP's criteria is simply "which firm would be best for someone interested in corporate work (M&A, private equity, finance, capital markets, investment funds) in NYC," it is sounds like low-level trolling. Either that or OP is an idiot savant.

That's a bit too unforgiving of an analysis. Early August is prime rising 2L recruiting season. It's more likely the OP is being intentionally vague, perhaps without realizing the potential detriment to their likelihood of receiving more precise advice.

Like everyone said, skadden and cravath have the best corporate service lines. Go with whichever one you like better, keeping in mind cravaths rotation system.
