Does any one get panic attacks at the office? I am almost a midlevel in biglaw and previously got panic attacks several years ago but just had to leave my office to go outside because I felt another one coming on strong. I'm not talking about having anxiety, I mean full blown feel like you can't breathe panic attacks.

Honest answer: consider seeing a psychologist/psychiatrist? BigLaw is stressful. I've pulled back-to-back all-nighters for crazy deals, but I've never come close to panic attacks. This doesn't mean you're weak OP -- just that if it's becoming a recurring thing, don't be afraid to seek help.

Not in big law (yet - rising 3L) but lots of experience with panic attacks. Seconding discussing with a professional. If it’s something that happens often, check with your GP to make sure it’s not a thyroid issue.
For me, cutting my caffeine intake made a huge difference. Since it’s a stimulant I think it made me more susceptible to panic attacks in high stress situations. That may not be the right solution for everyone but it helped me.
My doctor told me that often people panic about panicking. So having strategies to manage it when you feel it happening can be helpful (a therapist can really help with this). A professional can also determine if prescribing something like Xanax is appropriate.
It’s more common than you think. Take care of yourself.
