Taking CA Bar, Any Point in Applying NY/DC?

Recent graduate of a lower T-14 school. Struck out OCI, but I graduated above median. I'm originally from the LA area, but am having a difficult time finding corporate work here. A lot of the job openings listed on my School's Symplicity are in NY/DC, but I'm not registered to take the bar in either of those states, I'll be taking CA. I'm not opposed to moving out there, but I'm wondering whether firms would even consider someone who isn't taking the bar exam in those states this July (although I would in February). Has anyone been in this situation?
