Non-US citizen looking for data on
- Which V100 NYC firms will sponsor for H1b?
- How many times is the firm willing to put an associate through the H1b lottery?
- What does the firm do if the potential associate fails to get H1b? (ie: send you to an international office, fire you, leave you to apply again next year, etc
- Any other relevant information
- Source for your anecdote, and date of the source
Thanks!

don't know about nyc v100, you probably need v50 at least nyc to do for their H1B familiarity. i know v10-generally get an attorney immigration specialist and everything.
support two times generally.
when your h1b fails, i know one mid-level at v40 who had to work in an international office the entire year the office helps her to reapply h1b.
sorry it's a tough spot for everyone. get married.

Aim for firms that have international offices: London, HK, etc.. That's probably the best answer people can give. There's no way to answer what a firm does, since it depends on their needs.

I've heard from friends that Latham and Ropes & Grey have good visa policies. Not sure what the substantive differences are though.

You cannot trust small v100. When it comes to foreign students, go for as high as you can in vault ranking. Small headcounts mean they arent that experienced or sophisticated in handling visa. Ropes and Latham are all v20 though, NOT V100.
