Can anyone give me any info about their corporate practice down in Orange County? Anything about the firm, culture, compensation, etc. generally?

I work in the PH LA office...so all this is secondhand info but apparently the culture is not great there. Also, they don't seem to hire any minorities or women, seriously just check the website, not a single minority LOL. So I guess I wouldn't apply unless you're white. I think the pay is same as LA or NYC (regular biglaw scale).

What do you hear that is "not great" about the culture? (unless you're just alluding to it's very "old boys clubby")

Different anon, but I've heard similar things from friends about both the OC and SD corporate groups of PH: work is slow, associate morale isn't great, partners are very temperamental, senior associates have been (understandably) hoarding work causing juniors to become quite competitive, and, yes, that life is much, much more difficult there if you're a woman.

PH LA anon here. I don't really know specifics but I've heard its not pleasant to work for the partners there. Also, I know most of the homegrown corporate associates have jumped ship in the past couple years so its mostly lateral hires now. I don't know why, but it speaks to their probably bad culture there.
