PTAB clerkship

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Apr 27, 2018 10:06 am

To the patent lawyers out there, what do you all think about clerking for PTAB? They've started a relatively new clerkship program and I just applied for an open position and am wondering if people think it would be worth leaving biglaw for a year (as a jr. associate) to do it. I do quite a bit of inter partes review work, but ultimately hope to do a mix of IPRs and district court litigation.

I realize this isn't as prestigious as CAFC, but I'm sure I'm not competitive enough for a CAFC clerkship.

Any feedback would be welcome. Thanks!
