Hi all, I am starting to look at boutique lit firms in the NYC area (think Morvillo, McKool) and I am just curious what is the best way to reach out. I was just going to send in my materials directly to the recruiting officer and then go from there. For someone who is looking to start in the Fall, and who is currently clerking, does that sound like a plausible way to go about it?

But yes, you just submit an application to the recruiting contact on the website. You better get started ASAP, as many NYC firms -- and especially competitive boutiques -- have been hiring since December or early January. You probably have also gotten letters from many of these firms; if so, just respond in whatever way the letter instructs.
