Just accepted an offer for a will trusts and estates firm who also does Elder Law. Surprisingly the salary was very good (in my opinion).

How is practicing the type of law? Day to day as an associate?

I do a bit of trusts and estates work but. Its not my predominate area of law. It’s a bunch of procedural things that have to be done correct, and you have to deal with a lot of emotions and expectation management. Going to court is great, it’s a lot less stressful and other lawyers and judges are very congenial. I find you need to wear a bunch of hats: lawyer, counselor, constant reminder. Etc.

I like it but sometimes it gets very frustrating/ emotionally draining.
