Exit Options from Cali AG?

What exit options exist for a mid-level to senior lawyer coming out of the California AG's office? How do they compare to Federal agencies (fin regulators, main justice, etc.) and USAO offices?

I'm a DC big law litigation associate looking for a change.

No real career end goals at the moment which is why I just want to keep options open.

Anybody have any input on this? Would be very much appreacited.

I've looked at LinkedIn bios of CA AG attys and the few that I've seen (reached my LinkedIn Commercial Search Limit lol) end up staying there for life.

Anecdotal, but I know of a couple who have gone to Cov now that they have an LA office, and California hired Holder, leading to some of that revolving door LA-style. Otherwise, I think you are right: most stay there for life, or (again anecdotal) go into local politics. (My experience is only in LA, where my circle is as a mid-level lit associate. I can't speak to what goes on up north.)

thank you for this. just curious, what's the connection between Holder (I'm assuming Eric Holder?) and California AG's office?
