What's better for being an AUSA?

DC big law (2 years) ---> District Court clerk (1 year) ---> ???? ---> AUSA.
Want to be a California AUSA. Anywhere. Current D. Court clerk in a nonflyover but not super prestigious city (e.g., Oklahoma city). I've applied to limited AUSA postings but struck out.
Thinking my next move will either be trying for a CA big law white collar defense firm or trying for a strong CA plaintiffs firm (leiff cabraser? hagens berman?).
Any opinions or guidance on what would be better for my goals?? wrote this on my phone so pardon the typos.

As someone who did Chibiglaw-->D.ct clerk in similar local-->COA clerk--->? (hopefully AUSA), it would be helpful to know a general idea of your remaining stats. I can give you some idea of your potential outcomes both at prestigious firms and USAOs from my experience.

Do you mean law school stats? I was T20 top 15ish% (missed order of coif). Didn't do a journal but I have published 2 articles in LRs.
