Job duty description in resume

2016 grad; I'm applying to an appellate lit position, and in my current position I do some appellate work but most trial-level litigation. currently updating resume specifically for this position.

i'm used to organizing writing with putting the strongest elements first for emphasis- does this hold for describing the job briefly on a resume?

do i mention the appellate work first to highlight relevant experience , or should i list my duties in order of importance to the current job? i'm using bullet points for the job description. i don't want to misrepresent my current position as primarily appeals, but i've done substantial work on multiple appeals.

Emphasize the experience most relevant to the job you are applying to--in this case, whatever you've done on appeals.
It's not like you're taking out the other work you've done.
