What would a competitive salary be for a first year in house?

(Stub/1st year in biglaw)

Kinda depends on the company size, industry, and location. I've seen people take in-house internships that range from unpaid (classified as an externship or something) to minimum wage to $25 an hour all the way up to $30k for the summer. A little more info for the types of positions you're looking at might help.

It’s hard to say because 1st years rarely move in-house. It’s also dependent on company size, practice, industry, and location.

Personally, I think it’s worth waiting until you are a 4th year to go in house unless a specific opportunity has come up.
