Bad sign?

If you e-mail a partner asking if the firm has made a decision and they don't respond, is that necessarily a bad sign? Really thought I had a shot on this one....

It could be a bad sign. It could also mean nothing. This is out of your hands now - probably not something to fret over.

No news is not good news or bad news. No news is no news. Keep applying elsewhere until there's news.

Like 3 weeks but the partner said it'll take a few weeks. I just don't get why they can't shoot us a quick email. Thay would make the process less stressful

lol it's the week before Christmas chill out. Why not reach out to HR instead, who is more likely in the loop.

lol sometimes it's hit or miss on whether the partners i work with will respond to me on any given day. They get literally thousands of emails per day. Give it a minute and keep applying in the meanwhile. As everyone else said, no news is just no news.
