I'd love to hear from anyone who is knowledgable about the office cultures at Bronx, BDS, or NJPD. I expect workload to be high everywhere, but am interested in things like quality of supervision and training, staff morale, etc.

Hmmm this is a very broad question. I think Bronx is probably the most activist-y of the bunch if that makes sense. Lots of the attorney's there are really up on the politics of mass incarceration, bail fund stuff etc. They also have good training from what I heard and lots of support for new attorneys trying to get their bearings. That said also probably the highest workload and grit-oriented work culture.
BDS is also very left-leaning and has a 6 week formal training program. I'm not sure about how much support they have but the few attorney's I've talked to from there are all really warm smart people and seem down to help new attorneys. know the least about them though.
NJOPD is all over the place because each county office has a different vibe. They also have the briefest formal training period (something like 10 days if I remember from my interview). Their pay is high relative to the standard of living 60ish starting which can be a ton of money if you live in a small suburb in south jersey or even a city like Newark or Trenton (compare to NYC). The learning from what I gathered is under fire i.e. for the first few months your sort of stuck figuring it all out by yourself without much support - again the probably depends on the county office.
hope that helps!

Do you have an offer from the three? Or you're asking just to ask pre-interiew?
