Re: DOJ SLIP - summer 2018
I just received my offer and a Participant Agreement. Has EOIR/OCIJ initiated anyone's security clearance yet?

Re: DOJ SLIP - summer 2018
9/4/2017: Submitted SLIP Application.
10/4/2017: Received email from AVUE stating: RE: Notice of Selection for Consideration for Employment-DOJ Summer Law Intern Program
-AVUE Status changed to “Selected for Further Consideration"
11/13/2017: Status changed to “Finalist” listing EOIR-OCIJ as component
11/30/2017: Received offer via e-mail from Attorney at DOJ EOIR Headquarters listing the court location
-Accepted offer
12/5/2017: Received email from EOIR Headquarters with forms to fill out
1/10/2018: Received email from EOIR Headquarters with more forms
2/14/2018: Security Clearance initiated through questionnaire
4/13/2018: Drug Tested
5/2/2018: Final clearance given and entry on duty date set
Took a lot of patience, but I’m finally officially green lighted! Thought I'd share my timeline, since I couldn't find one in previous posts and to give future SLIPs an idea of how the process works.

Congrats! Good to know things are moving. Just for posterity as well, I'm in the Tax Division and I have not been given my clearance yet. That being said, an e-mail was sent out requesting my start date and telling me that "no news is good news" on that front.Anonymous User wrote:9/4/2017: Submitted SLIP Application.
