Theres not that much info on SA pay at the big L&E firms (littler/jackson lewis/ogeltree)?
Anyone have any idea on the SA programs in general, and pay in different markets?
I know some of them have very small SA programs, but they do exist. Any info would be appreciated.

Location dependent. The firms you named pay 2500-3000/ week depending on the market you're in.

Thanks for the response. Do you know if this holds true in non-major market (south east cities)?

Don’t discount the big law firms that have good l&e practices. Less comoditized work, better pay, can always go to the above mentioned firms later to extend the runway.

My worry is ending up in a different practice area in a larger firm. Isn't it better to start somewhere that you can hit the ground running? Most firms in my market will put you where they need you.

Going to be on the lower end. It's normally whatever the 1st year salary is, pro-rated. Market you're talking about you'll see 100k-145k as a starting salary.

True, but a lot of people that target these firms don’t want to end up in L&E (at least in my experience). It’s a lower margin, less “sexy” practice area - so I think if you get a larger firm, you can target the practice group with relative ease. I gunned for l&e cause I found it interesting - got placed thre with no problem.
That said, this has been just one persons (my) experience at a firm that has a relatively big l&e practice (and pays market).

Wow, thanks for the insight. Hadn't thought of it that way, I'm definitely going to take that into consideration.
