Externship at DOJ - Antitrust v. FTC

Does anyone have experience working in the regional offices as an extern in either the DOJ-Antitrust Division or FTC? Is one considered more prestigious than the other? Does one offer a better, more substantive experience than the other?

The two are very, very different when it comes to field offices. DOJ Antitrust field offices only do criminal work. FTC doesn't have criminal enforcement authority.

DOJ Antitrust field offices
mainly do criminal work. You can find civil work as an intern/extern at a DOJ-ATR field office.
-Fmr. intern/extern at a DOJ-ATR field office.

I would say both are equally prestigious. My law school study partner did her 2L summer at the FTC, and was able to line up a bunch of DOJ Honors interviews pretty easily (mostly based on that externship, where apparently she did well enough that they went to bat for her with the DOJ Honors process). She ended up being a finalist for some of the offices, but got an offer to clerk, so she decided not to go the DOJ route.
