what's your opinion on vacation after lateralling?

Planning a lateral move to a new firm. Will be attending a destination wedding in about 2 months after my first day (give or take a week or so).
How much time is appropriate to take off?

Not a big deal for most places. Just let them know you already have the trip planned when you start.

I had a vacation planned for two weeks after I started. I let the recruitment person at the firm know after I was given my offer. Totally was not a big deal. Just let them know as soon as is possible. I was in the hole on vacation days for a while, but doesnt really matter.

I am also about to go on a 10 day vacation less than two weeks after starting. They don't care.
