Any advice? I'm interested in tax or securities.

Hoping to pad up my resume up some more during my 2L year.

What type of consulting/consulting firm? Depending on that answer, I'd probably try to obtain a midlaw/small law summer gig during the school year and for 2L summer. Going to be tough to convince a firm that they should hire you full time when you have little/no legal experience.

Ditch consulting if you want to end up at a law firm.

Is this pre-2L summer or in advance of your 2L summer? That could be pretty important.

Big 4. I am also trying to obtain a small law firm summer gig for the second half.

During my 2L summer. I have not received an offer yet for a firm.

Big 4 is a pretty good outcome. The proverbial midlaw gig is pretty tough to find. If you want to work at a firm, I'd try and get something for next summer and ditch the big 4 gig. But if I were in your shoes I'd just stick w/ the big 4 job and shoot for a full time offer from them. Of course, that is just one person's opinion.

EDIT: nvm. This is moot until you have an actual offer. These are competitive jobs -- you can't just assume you will be able to land one.
