I have offers from V40-50s in NYC, but I'm also looking at Morrison & Foerster in Northern Virginia. I'm really leaning towards one NY V40 in particular that seems like a great fit, but I'm wondering if the MoFo prestige is something to take into consideration, and how much it would apply to the Northern VA office. Interested in corporate. Thanks.

Do you want to live in NoVa or New York.

Calling it a V40-V50 means nothing and doesnt help us distinguish it from MoFo.

Yeah pretty much polar opposite markets wouldn't you say? You'd stack fat stacks in NOVA.

Location not incredibly important to me at the moment. More concerned about quality of work and what's a better career move for the long term.

V-whatever isn't going to help us give you advice about medium or long term career prospects. you're anon, just name the firm. But, generally speaking, you are going to have an easier time getting an in-house gig from NY corporate, although working in northern Virginia will probably establish stronger ties in northern Virginia if you want to end up there.
