Some of these firms are very notable and strong in certain niches of corporate work (Schulte funds and transportation finance; FF real estate transactions; Weil large-cap PE and public M&A). If you are interested in one of those subsets, these respective strengths need to be considered. Never heard anything about corporate work in Hogan's NY office. But maybe it does good work and has good partners; I'll defer to others there. You know you're gonna get worked like a dog at Weil and have very limited partnership chances, but probably have pretty solid exist options, given its cache. Don't know if partnership chances (or hours) are meaningfully better at the other options. For exit options at the other options, that may be dependent if you can get into their strong departments, i.e. if you're doing, say, lending at Schulte, you'll be just some dude when it comes time to look for your next gig, but having worked the funds practice will open doors. Like the V20 partner who has the AMA thread on here has stated, better to be at the A practice of a B firm than the B practice of an A firm.
