Top Law Schools

Current corporate associate. Cliche story of taking the LSAT because I didn't know what to do out of college, did well, went to CCN, faked it well enough through law school to get a v10 job, now I both hate and suck at my job. Wouldn't be surprised if I was let in the next year.

Is my LSAT score (175) helpful in literally any other context besides studying and law school admissions? Do other graduate degree programs give it any weight?

This is a bit of a weird question to ask as an associate at a V10, but if you're looking to get out of legal practice, the better bet (at least to me) is leveraging the experience you've had at your V10 into something else. That could be going in-house (which it doesn't sound like you're too keen on), or just translating your skills into your next job while having a prestigious law firm on your resume.

Consulting firms might care, I know they value high LSAT scores when they're evaluating law students. Seems like they would care more about the stuff you've worked on at your firm though.

Yeah, I don't know if they still do, but BCG requires you to give a standardized test score when you apply, and you're allowed to use the LSAT.

op here - why is this odd? From my experience it's more common for junior attorneys to be looking to get out of law than the law students that don't know any better or the more pot-committed senior attorneys.

I'd like to leverage my skills into something else, but it's tough to sell junior corporate attorney skills to non-law employers.

I think he was pointing out that it's odd for an associate at a V10 to think that the LSAT is going to be an important factor at this stage.
