If coming from a TTT on west coast, but in top 3% what firms would be most likely to show interest. More interested in corp than lit but open.

Seriously: If you use Vault, the 'Survey Says' section has some info about who gets recruited by each firm. Find the lists for the practice groups you want and go from there.

By mass mailing NYC, do you mean filling out the applications on the firms' websites? Or actually mailing/emailing something?

Also interested in this. HYS student here with mediocre "grades" who's about to strike out from OCI

"Mass mailing" just means applying en masse directly to firms. Def no need to physically mail anything. Follow the instructions on the firms' websites - some will have a form you fill out, others will tell you to email your materials.

It's a numbers game, really, and there's no downside to applying to more firms. So blanket the market. Ofc there are a few firms you can obviously refrain from trying if you don't have good grades (WLRK, Boies, S&C...) or are at a TTT (WLRK) but otherwise, don't waste time trying to tailor a list of which firms to mail. Speed and quantity are the important factors here.

Good luck. Anecdotally, market's been tough this year even for T14 students with strong grades.

So I've already MM'd like mad, but most of that occurred in the last week and I have nothing from it yet. How much of a disadvantage are you at applying this late? Have firms made almost all the offers they're going to?
