Top Law Schools

I'm very interested in practicing in New York after law school. I am not, however, fully aware of the transactional practices at both offices. I was wondering if anyone could give me the inside scoop as to which would be a better fit for a prospective student interested in corporate finance, private equity, etc.

Latham & Watkins is better known for its corporate practice than its litigation practice.

Gibson Dunn is better known for its litigation practice than its corporate practice.

Both of these reputations hold true in New York.
