Federal Hiring: SF-171, OF-612, or resume?

I realize this is a very neurotic question, but I am applying for to a federal attorney position. The instructions say that I can submit either a SF-171, OF-612, or resume. Is anyone aware of whether one is better or looked upon more favorable than the others?
Thanks.

Resume. I'm on the hiring committee at my agency and I've never seen anyone apply with anything else. SF-171 and OF-612 were used many many years ago.

Given the option, I'd basically always choose resume - it's going to give you a lot more control over what you present and how you present it. Plus you probably have one ready or nearly ready to go already anyway.

If you don't mind me asking some general questions, could you PM me please?
