Slightly below median at a T-20.TTTTescapee wrote:Stats?Anonymous User wrote:I got nothing
TTTT to T1 transfer (TTTT is so bad I'm sure you know the name), top 12%, 1 pre-select, 3 alternates. One alternate has a (1) next to it, does that mean I'm the next in-line?
I only wrote cover letters for firms in my primary city (6 firms), which happened to be the biggest firms in the city (or satellites of larger firms). I filled in the rest of the bids with firms that didn't require cover letters. Hindsight I would have been better off targeting the "smaller" big law firms in my secondary location as all the firms that chose me were in the 100-200 lawyer range. It has been and will be a good learning experience going into OCI. That and I haven't heard of anyone from my TTTT that did better so that's promising.

I can update this and say that two of my alternates turned into interviews for a total of 4 interviews. I'm next alternate for the two remaining firms for my options. Perhaps some will cancel before hand and give me a solid 6. Good luck to everyone this Friday and/or Saturday!Anonymous User wrote:T3 transferring to T1. Top 15%.
2 pre-selects; 4 alternates. Focused Atlanta and Texas.
The Hotel is in Marietta, which is a Northern suburb of Atlanta. If you drive (or Uber) about 15 minutes south to Buckhead, you'll find a myriad of restaurants and casual bars. Buckhead is an "uppity" part of ATL, so expect to pay a bit a little more for drinks than you would in midtown or a normal college town. I really enjoy the food and drinks at Gypsy Kitchen.Anonymous User wrote:Seems like this hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere. Anyone have any suggestions for things to do Friday night? Obviously nothing too crazy, given the 9am interviewing start on Saturday, but it would be nice to meet some fellow Southeastern Minorities!
I know the hotel that SEMJF takes place in is offering a discount for students. Check the email sent by the donotreply email address for the Hotel information. I think it's $99 for a night if you call the number and say you're with SEMJF.TTTTescapee wrote:Well it looks like one of my alternates just turned into an interview but its on Friday and my I was only scheduled for Saturday. Anyone know of any reasonably affordable hotels to stay at?
The Hilton Garden Inn is next door and shuttles to the Hyatt, if you can't get into the Hyatt.TTTTescapee wrote:Well it looks like one of my alternates just turned into an interview but its on Friday and my I was only scheduled for Saturday. Hilton Garden Inn is $166 even with student rate =\.mellew wrote:The Hilton Garden Inn is next door and shuttles to the Hyatt, if you can't get into the Hyatt.TTTTescapee wrote:Well it looks like one of my alternates just turned into an interview but its on Friday and my I was only scheduled for Saturday. Yuck. I'm sorry. Marta is an option if you can get something on the line.Shirosham wrote:Hilton Garden Inn is $166 even with student rate =\.mellew wrote:The Hilton Garden Inn is next door and shuttles to the Hyatt, if you can't get into the Hyatt.TTTTescapee wrote:Well it looks like one of my alternates just turned into an interview but its on Friday and my I was only scheduled for Saturday. Main hotel does not have any student rates left, but it does have rooms available.
Great idea. I really enjoyed meeting the SIdley interviewers. That interview flew by.Anonymous User wrote:Hope everyone's weekend went good. I think it would be a good idea if everyone shared their updates. I'll certainly post any call backs, offers, and rejections I get.
I interviewed at Kirkland, Baker Botts, Sidley, Gibson, and Norton Rose.
Not me. That's always a good sign today you did good at the interview.Anonymous User wrote:Did anyone get invited to dinner(s) with firms after their interview?
Did you know any firms that invited people out?Anonymous User wrote:Did anyone get invited to dinner(s) with firms after their interview?
