How long is it typical to wait without a ding or a callback until you need to give up hope?

Re: Fordham Law EIW 2017
IKR? Sucks not knowing how long I should wait. I'm basically thinking I didn't make any callbacks last week and most people I know who got callbacks have them starting Monday...so I've essentially given up.

My experience is that firms usually let you know that they're extending you a callback within 24 hours. Not receiving any news is generally bad news.

Re: Fordham Law EIW 2017
While this may be anecdotal, I interviewed with a firm on Monday and got a callback on Friday.

Good call. If you're not part of the 30% of the class who gets a job through OCI you'll be hopelessly unemployed for the rest of your life so just give up.Anonymous User wrote:Wow. Well fuck. It's looking like I'm 2/19. I haven't gotten rejection emails from firms that seem to be sending them out so I don't know what that means.Anonymous User wrote:Heard back from Sidley, Gibson, Willkie (ding email), and Clifford Chance. Haven't heard from White & Case.

If one of those firms is Dechert, I believe you're looking at a snailmail ding.Anonymous User wrote:Well fuck. It's looking like I'm 2/19. Nah. A lot of the ones I haven't heard anything back from have been sending out rejection emails.Its_Thyme wrote:If one of those firms is Dechert, I believe you're looking at a snailmail ding.Anonymous User wrote:Well fuck. Heard back from Sidley, Katten, and Norton rose. Has anyone heard anything from akin or Debevoise?
