That price is not going to get you what you're hoping for in the loop. If that's all you want to spend you better start looking to split rent in a two or three bedroom.

I live in Chicago and can confirm that you will not find a studio, let alone a 1 bedroom, in the Loop or Streeterville for $1200.
Up your price range, think about roommates, or be willing to look north, south, or west of the Loop.
