Here's an example link: http://nalpdirectory.com/employer_profi ... hCondJSON=

Unclear exactly what you're looking for. Do you mean at every firm in the country? At a certain firm? At biglaw firms?

I think you first have to define what you mean by summer associate? Which criteria is relevant to you? You can always go through every ABA-accredited school's employment summary to compile a total based on firm size.

Not a clue, but to give you some perspective, there will be about 37,000 (fairly rough approximation) law school grads this year. There are about 3,500 (fairly rough approximation) biglaw hires expected this year. The number you're looking for is somewhere in between

Obviously depends on the year, but nationwide, ordinarily, a little over 4,500 SA positions at 250+ firms become a little over 4,000 entry-level associate positions (although 250+ is becoming less synonymous with "Biglaw). About half of them are in NYC, with the large majority of the remainder being in DC, Boston, Chicago, LA, and SF/SV.

If you look at the total number of first year hires, that's probably going to roughly approximate the total number of SA positions as well. AmLaw or NALP might have this.
