3L looking to get out of biglaw

I'll likely graduate near the bottom third of a top law school. Summered at a generally reputable biglaw firm, didn't enjoy it at all, and now don't want to go back. What are my non-biglaw options this late in the game? I tried my hand at consulting but got dinged by MBB at the final rounds. I don't mind leaving the law entirely, but I need a realistic way of servicing my debt. Also, I've worked for years before law school, in high-stress jobs, so this isn't a naive KJD post. Does anyone have any experience with this? Thanks, guys.

Spend a year at biglaw and then reapply for MBB?

what was ur UG/what do u want to do with ur life? there are a fuckload of options outside of biglaw lol

with PAYE and/or PSLF you really aren't bound by ur debt. follow ur dreams cuz. if ur really done with law, i would cruise in that biglaw job doing menial bullshit all the meanwhile interviewing until u get a job that interests you more

I know a ton of ppl that have peaced to totally random shit.

OP here. I thought about PI, but I figured that my course work and legal experience screams corporate/transactional. I'm also the sole breadwinner of my family, with several mouths to feed, so I'll probably need a substantial income for NYC cost of living. The more I write out the details, the more I'm thinking that this isn't possible...

Yeah man that's not sounding great. Can you go to a different market? At least if it's not NYC you'll have a cheaper CoL and can make your exit faster (plus the billable hour expectation will probably be lower).

I would work in Biglaw for a couple years and lateral do a mid-sized firm (or something outside of the law entirely) after that. I know Biglaw sounds/is terrible, but not being able to service your debt or put food on the table is even worse. Grinding out a few years and establishing yourself at a reputable firm should give you some great exit options.
