1L internship acceptance etiquette

Hi all,

After a long search and multiple interviews, I finally got a paid internship offer with a department in city hall (large city where I am in school). The offer email essentially gave me the compensation rate and expected hours, asked if those terms were acceptable to me, and told me to reach out with any questions. Before I respond, I want to make sure it is appropriate to ask 1) their preferred start/end date (I gave them my rough availability in my CL and interview, so assuming it will be the same, but just want to confirm) 2) whether I will be permitted to take a few days off for OCI.
Should I wait to raise the OCI question until closer to my start date, or get it out of the way now?
Thanks!

1. Appropriate
2. Appropriate (don't wait, just ask right away so they know).

Depending on your internship, you may want to end it before OCI FWIW. (unless they want you to clerk during the school year).

chill lol

of course you can ask about start/end date, and of course you can ask whether you can take a few days off for OCI. How else would you arrange your start date?

they even told you to reach out with questions

this is bizarre
