Does anyone have any information on various Hawaii DA Offices or the USAO? In terms of how they hire, etc? I assume you have to be a local to the state? Also, if the Hawaii USAO hires from biglaw & clerkships or from DA offices?

I don't know much about the DA.
I know the USAO just hired two AUSAs, one of whom from a federal clerkship (who clerked a few times before that, not sure if she was private practice at any point before clerking). Their hiring was a bit rushed to get in before the change in administration. Haven't heard that they're looking for any new hires.
The USAO is very local focused. If you don't have very strong connections to Hawaii (read: raised here or already part of the bar and working here), you're not even going to get an interview. At least, that's my impression.
