Anyone ever worked/interned for the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings in NYC?

Worked in the same building and appeared in front of OATH

Hm, could you describe some of what you saw? Does OATH handle the hearings and trials for all the NYC agencies? Did they resemble real trials?

The few trials I witnessed the respondent did not bother to show. Very informal. Sorry that I can't provide more info.

Same as other poster. Interned and appeared before OATH rather than work for them.
It seems somewhat interesting. It's administrative court rather than real court. The issues are usually simpler and the procedure is a little more lax. The actual work could be interesting (depending on the types of cases you're working on).
They don't do all agencies. I know they do ECB, Taxi, Contracts disputes, and discrimination cases. There may be others.
I'm not sure if it's great in terms of networking and exit options. Unless you exit to one of the agencies that appears there or a private firm which represents others at OATH.

I appear in front of OATH regularly. From what I can tell, it's a place to push out shitty civil/supreme court judges. The offices are nice though.

There's an opening for OATH judges, but I was concerned its a place where legal careers go to die.
Thanks all!

I would intern there if I had no other options, but I wouldn't try to stay after LS. Not even sure if they would offer.
