Mass-mailing to biglaw in March would work?

They already finalized their summer class and if they have needs, they post the position on the website, almost always (I guess) or use legal recruiters.
So I guess that as a 3L, mass-mailing to biglaw around this time of year would not work. What do you think?

It can work. I got big law in March as a 3L via mass-mailing. It's very unlikely but it can work.

I go Big Law in February. Heard of spots opening in March, April and May my same year that went unposted.... So it definitely can work.

To whom did you mass-mail? An alum partner whom you never met? A hiring partner? Recruiting coordinators?

It works. Mass mailed early March and have three callbacks. 1 V20 and 2 Am 200.

Has this ever worked for a 2L, or are the summer classes essentially set in stone by this point?
