Moving from Civil to Criminal within DOJ

Hello. I'm an incoming honors hire at DOJ in a large civil section. I think the work will be interesting, but my long-term goal is to do criminal work. For those who have worked in DOJ, how common are these lateral moves? I have a three year commitment, but I'm thinking in terms of my career as a whole. How much movement between sections occurs? Thanks in advance.

I'm also curious about the reverse.
I imagine it doesn't happen often?

OP
I'm not sure. The crim sections, for example, regularly hire biglaw associates with 3-5 years of experience. There's not much a lot of overlap between being a federal prosecutor and being a junior to mid-level biglaw associate. Maybe they figure they just want bright folks who can learn on the job? I'm just spitballing.
