Order of the coif?

I graduated magna cum laude last year and now I keep getting emails from my school asking me to pay for order of the coif. Is that worth anything on a resume?

Order of the Coif signals "top 10%," so it's a benefit for those who come from schools that don't let grads put class ranks on resumes. But if you come from a school that lets you put your rank on your resume (or if the school gives out other well-known honors--like your magna cum laude--that also signal top 10%), then I don't think that coif adds any value.gander14 wrote:I graduated magna cum laude last year and now I keep getting emails from my school asking me to pay for order of the coif. I think I agree with the first statement but not necessarily the second.rpupkin wrote:Order of the Coif signals "top 10%," so it's a benefit for those who come from schools that don't let grads put class ranks on resumes.
