2nd year big law associate here. I just waived in to the DC bar and will practice in DC for at least the next 3 or 4 years. Is there any reason to keep my NJ bar membership or should I just let it lapse? Also, if I do choose to let my NJ bar membership lapse, do I have to take any active steps or do I just stop paying dues?

Why would you let your New Jersey bar membership lapse after going through C&F & the bar exam ? Consider going on inactive status if you want to save a small amount of money.
