I'm currently a 3L. I was a SA at a west coast firm (in a west coast satellite office), but was able to transfer my full-time offer to their HQ office. I obviously know far fewer people in that office because I didn't SA there. The mid-level who I do know offered to have the firm fly me out to the HQ office at some point during my 3L year to meet people before I eventually start next fall.
My question is: should I take them up on this? I feel weird having them pay to fly me almost across the country for this, especially since I have already accepted the offer. I also don't want to seem rude for not taking him up on the offer. FWIW, i'd like to take the trip, but i'm busy enough that not doing it wouldn't be a huge deal for me either.
overall, i'm sure i'm overthinking but i'd appreciate any thoughts!

Why in the world do you feel weird about it?
Take the trip. Plan for a Friday visit. Fly back Sunday. Enjoy the city over the weekend.

You should go and meet people that the other first years will already know from last summer. Make a good impression and seem enthusiastic. Ask questions.Anonymous User wrote:I'm currently a 3L. Dont turn down a free trip to meet your future employers. I'm sure they want to meet you as well, if they haven't already.

I think it's rare that a firm would offer this. And I think t would look really bad if you said no.
