How can I delay an interview by 1.5 months?
I got an interview offer from a law firm where I will start with a law clerk that would lead to an asso position after three months. The problem is that I just left the area to stay at my friend' house in a far-away state, studying for the bar. I am a jobless graduate but I am behind my schedule for the bar. It seems like they need a clerk soon.
What should I do?

If you don't have a job, delaying an interview by 1.5 months sounds like a piss poor idea.

If you don't want the job, yes. If you want the job, definitely not.

You can... but don't be surprised if HR ghosts you when you ask or if they give you a "wtf" response.
Ok some substantive advice: schedule it asap. The closer it is to your bar exam, the harder it will be to study/ace the interview. Study on the plane.
I took a road trip the weekend before my bar exam. Studied while in the car. I passed (i'm a good test taker though). You'll be fine. The bar exam is a marathon. 2 days of blowing off studying won't make a difference. I started my bar course late, took plenty of days off from studying, but ramped it up for the couple weeks before the exam.

Agreeing that you should do the interview if you want the job (and there's any way you can). It's a relatively trivial expense and investment of time for the possibility of being employed.

Go to the interview man. No way that job will be waiting after a month and a half.
