Firm compensation

I know that I can find (usually) first-year compensation information on NALP, but where (if anywhere) can I find info on whether a firm continues to pay lockstep through the class years (I believe I have heard that some firms pay market initially but have compressed compensation as you move up)?
I know that Vault has that info for some firms, but it doesn't have it for all and I'm also looking for that information on some firms that aren't ranked on Vault.

To me that seems like a fair thing to ask the firm directly once you have your offer

Thanks, does that hold true given that it is only a 1L SA offer? I would imagine that might make a difference. Any idea why some firms list their compensation on vault through 7th year and some firms don't?

Bargaining power.

Guessing for the most part if they're holding back then it's because they have something to hide. But not necessarily?
If you want to wait until after you get your offer to return as a 2L I guess that's fine. But if you have multiple 1L SA offers I still think it's fair to ask.
You can also ask TLS, someone here might work there. Wait a month or so and ask Anonymously and no one will connect you to this thread.

Well I guess they might if they're a super sleuth but that's just sad (for them)

Or just ask for salary data of 20 firms

This too
Wait about 4 months. Ask about 20 firms anonymously. Then LITERALLY NO ONE will trace it back to you.
Problem solved.

Hi anon - 0Ls aren't supposed to post questions in Legal Employment (but feel free to read all the various links in the stickied posts - this question has been discussed before - or ask in the Ask a Law Student/Graduate forum).

Depends
Generally speaking: quite hard
Are you abusing anon because you're a 0L who shouldn't be posting in this forum or what?
Dang, scooped
