Went to law school on the east coast and looking to relocate to Dallas after I graduate. Does anyone know of any federal agencies with attorney positions in Dallas? Interested in nonprofits in Dallas as well (environmental or other specialty areas)! Thanks!
EDIT: Just in case, personal experience in Dallas would be great!

For federal agencies, check out usajobs.gov.

Yea I check usajobs. I guess I would like to know if anyone can mention their specific experience in Dallas i.e. "I worked at X agency in Dallas."

Lived in Dallas for 10 years now. There's been s couple of dhs jobs in Dallas on usajobs but I think they've expired already. I would keep checking there'. For non profits check psjd website they're really good at putting up new opportunities. Idealist as well. It's a great city, lots of job growth, decent cost of living compared to other cities, HOT.

I think Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid has an office in Dallas. Definitely worth looking at.

Legal Aid in Dallas does not pay very much, and Dallas is far more expensive than most people think.

I think the FDIC here hires law students right? No personal experience about it but I thought I remember some FDIC people coming to UT to recruit.

Yes, they do, and I worked there for two years so I'm very familiar with the process. They have one law clerk at a time, and it is paid (at GS-7 level unless you qualify for higher level, which I did after my first year there), on an hourly basis. If you have questions about working in the banking regulatory field and would to learn more, post and I can try to PM when I can.
Working at the FDIC in a regional office can go a long way to showing a dedicated interest in the field and make you competitive for the two Honors Program positions available each year in DC for after graduation.

I imagine ICE and CBP would have attorney positions in Dallas. CBP in particular recently posted a slew of attorney positions out of Texas.
