Taking a law firm job out-of-state for income while preparing for the UBE

Being offered a great paying investigator/clerk position in Texas, but from a UBE jurisdiction and registered for UBE in NYC. The recruiter said it'd be good to change scenery and study out there then come back for the UBE. What do you think? I've been trying for opportunities in my home state and I'm not to happy here in the NYC area to be quite honest, even when I've had interviews. If I stay I would take a bar exam loan out and move out of my toxic home and get my own place to pass this time. Thanks!
