Can't Wait to Give Notice

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Nov 18, 2016 5:55 pm

Lateralling soon. Will be giving notice as soon as I receive my bonus on three weeks. Every day I'm getting more and more angry with the continued BS that has led me to depart and biting my tongue not to go out in a blaze of glory.

I don't have a point; just whining after being told to cancel my thanksgiving trip.

Make sure you keep your resume up to date, new biglaw minnows.

What did you expect?

Are you expecting the firm you're lateraling to won't do the same?

C'mon, really? Dude's just trying to vent about having to cancel a planned holiday trip. What's the point of criticizing him for feeling upset about it?

You're not actually canceling your trip though, right?

Nope. Left at 5.

Ideally not after having it rescheduled from 3 prior forced cancellations. There's biglaw urgency and then there's a toxic work environment.

OP here. Giving notice was effing sweet. 90 minutes after receiving my end of the year bonus. Definite blind-siding.

Nah, it's good here. OP gave helpful legal employment advice, after all:
