I had 20/30 vision going into law school -- never wore glasses because (1) I never drove and (2) I could see near and far just fine without them. Midway through my first clerkship, I realized I had a hard time seeing sports scores on TVs in bars. By the time of my second clerkship, I got glasses -- my left eye was 20/40, my right eye was 20/80. My second clerkship ended two years ago, and since then my eyes have gotten a little worse.

Someone did a study on this, I think -- the effect of law school on vision.
