2L summer: what to choose?

I basically have an offer from an Asian office of a US firm and a judicial externship for District Court this summer. The issue is I may not be able to come back to the US office of that firm, so i am reluctant to take it. I guess working there would give me a good name on resume, but I am not sure about the training as in the judicial externship, as the office seems to do less sophisticated work than in the US. On the other hand, judicial externships seem to be a 1L thing, yet the training may be better.

What should I choose in this case? Goal is to clerk/govt.work/large firm (open to both litigation and transactional). Appreciate any insights/advices!

You'd be crazy not to take the Asian office.

Only hold up would be if for some reason you need to be in the US this summer to see people you care about. You'd be placing them over a good career decision but sometimes that matters.
