Does anyone know the salary scale for Bryan Cave in NY/CA? I know their salary structure is different from other big law firms (they are still at 160K, and I cannot find any conclusive information about raises). Looking for any information about raises and bonuses. Thank you in advance.

Its definitely 160K. Says so on Vault/Nalp, I also have received a written offer and although it says a weekly salary, when multiplied by 52, it comes out to 160. Do you have any info on raises? Is it a compressed scale or lockstep?

I'm pretty sure BC goes up to 160k in NYC beginning Jan. 1. They were definitely one of the firms who announced raises but delayed actually boosting pay until the new year.

Starting salary goes up to 160k on January 1. Pay is set your first three years, after which raises become a bit more of a black box. The salary scale generally is much more compressed than market-paying firms.

Does anyone know if 2nd or 3rd years are getting a salary raise? or if this is just for first years that start this year.

Every associate gets a salary raise.

Can confirm pay is 145K in CA. Don't know if it's gonna go up in January but others here seem to think so.

Messaging I got was yes, going to 160K first year in CA effective Jan. 1. NALP confirms this for all three BC offices in CA.

does anyone know how much the raises are for the first three years? 5k a year? 10k? 15k? Thanks.

Depends on the market, but they'll track what the first year increase is. For example, in CA where the first year rate is going from 145 to 160, the second and third year lockstep salaries are also increasing by 15k.

what I am trying to figure out is how much of a raise an incoming junior can expect going from year 1 to year 2 and year 2 to year 3, not how much more money current year two or year three associates will be making come Jan 1. I am an potential incoming junior that will be starting at 160 in the new year if I accept this offer. I would like to know how much my salary would increase in year two and again in year three. I haven't been able to find this information. Sorry if I was unclear. Thank you!

Not sure what salary increases will be. Right now it varies. Think along the lines of 145 - 160 - 175 for years 1,2,3 right now, but that's obviously in flux given the raises that have been promised.

From what I gather, at least in Southern California, BC is stingy for no good reason. Not just in salaries but also in perks the associates get. If you have other offers to consider, I would maybe look more into those. If this is it, beggars can't be choosers.
